As Morris Owen look to reach their 75th year in business this month, they will also say a fond farewell to their long serving senior partner Dave Bond. Dave joined the firm in 1976 and went on to qualify as a Chartered Accountant in 1983 before then becoming a partner in 1986, a role he admits to having enjoyed greatly.

Dave commented “I have been immensely proud to have been a partner in Morris Owen for some 35 years and have enjoyed the combination of applying technical knowledge in trying to help clients keep on the straight and narrow and help them protect and develop their businesses.  I am particularly appreciative of having had the opportunity to work with partners having a common purpose of seeing the firm be successful over a long period of time.  This is also an opportunity to thank everyone past and present who has been part of the Morris Owen team and has contributed enormously to that success”.

Alan Barlow, partner, reflected on the years he has worked with Dave and expressed his gratitude. “Dave was already a partner here when I first joined the firm as a trainee. 11 years or so later and having spent several years working directly alongside Dave, we became business partners. During this time I have valued and admired Dave’s commitment to the firm and the partnership team. I would like to thank Dave for all the support he has given us over the years and for his unwavering passion to get things done in the right way. The whole firm wishes him the very the best in his retirement as a partner.”

However, it will not be the last Morris Owen will see of Dave; he will continue to work with the firm on specific client projects as a consultant from July 2021.
